Heirloom Blanket

My mom knit a blanket for my sister and each of my brothers in the 70s but I guess since I was still a teen and living at home, she never knit one for me. I was visiting her a few years ago and she pulled out a blanket she knit back in the 70s that she had stored in a chest. She didn’t use it so she gave it to me. I grew up in the southwest and many of the blankets that she knit had that distinct pattern. She sent me the directions for one of the blankets she knitted and the title is Navajo Afghan. The basement in my house is the family room and it has been decorated with the all of the things I brought from the southwest. This blanket fits in nicely with that room.
