Heirloom Afghan

My Grandma, Florence Bostwick (1902-1996) crocheted and embroidered. Around 1975 she made an afghan for me. I remember watching her crocheting it sitting in a rocking chair in front of the television while watching her favorite shows. She cross stitched the daisies and leaves then stem stitched the bow and stems and added the fringe. Grandma taught me how to embroider and patiently watched as I practiced the stitches. I treasure this afghan and keep it out to warm myself on these cold winter days.
